MAMTA KULKARNI BIOGRAPHY
Mamta was born in Mumbai 20th, April 1972.She was a bold actress who would shoot any kinds of photos including half naked ones as well. On September 1993 she faced lot of controversies regarding her sexy, hot picture of her arms crossed over her breasts that appeared on the cover of stardust, which is a popular Indian film Magazine. For this incident she was violated by conservative religious groups and women's groups and was finally convicted in July 2000, and fined Rs 15,000.She appeared in number of films like "Karan Arjun" (1995), "Sabse Bada Khiladi" (1995) and" Baazi" (1995) which did well at the box office. However most of her roles involved only a few sequences as she was only being a love interest to the leading man of the films. If she had known for anything it was only for her dance and was renowned as an item girl. Projecting her as a sex symbol, she hardly had some work in the movies. She acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali and Malayalam movies also.Kulkarni had not that great and exciting career, as she had lot of controversies to be faced .She made her debut in a Tamil movie named Nanbargal and then made a Bollywood film debut in the 1992 movie Tiranga.She later acted in some of the movies like Aashiq Awara which won her a Filmfare Lux New Face Award. She went to appear in many other films such as Waqt Hamara Hai (1993), Krantiveer (1994), Karan Arjun (1995), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995) and Ghatak: Lethal (1995) which did well at the box office. However most of her roles involved being a love interest to the leading man of the films or appearing in glamorous song-and-dance sequences. She quit movies after her last appearance in the 2002 film Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hum.Mamta quit movies after her last appearance in the 2002 film Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hum and got married to an NRI when she moved to UK.
